The article discusses approaches to substantiating and implementing national priorities in the field of sustainable development in the EAEU countries. The purpose of the study is to compare approaches to substantiating the national priorities of the state social policy in the EAEU countries, as well as to identify areas for their improvement, taking into account global international trends. The choice for comparison of the EAEU countries is justified by the similarity of the parameters characterizing the socio-economic and political processes in these countries, as well as the presence of common borders. The concept of sustainable development has been adopted as the methodological basis for conducting a comparative assessment of the impact of various social factors on regional development, which involves ensuring a balance between economic, social and environmental goals, taking into account the effectiveness of management. At the same time, special attention is paid to studing how national priorities in the field of social policy are embodied in management decisions taken at both national and regional levels. In conclusion, recommendations are made regarding potential improvements to social policy mechanisms and the dissemination of identified best practices. The article was prepared within the framework of a grant from the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the project AP19679796 "Study of factors of regional development taking into account interregional relations and state regulation".
